I personally would never wear something an ex gave me. I dated a guy all 4 years in high school before me and my current boyfriend got together. All our pictures and the promise ring he gave me and everything else is in a box at my parents house. I didn’t wanna get rid of any of it but I would never wear it around my boyfriend, I would feel like I was disrespecting him by doing it

It can get in the way. It shows that it has a special meaning to it because someone that used to be special to you gave it to you. No matter the price, or what it is, a piece of clothing, jewelry, anything!
