Try for a baby, or BC?

My SO is and has been iffy about getting me pregnant. One day he’s all for it. The next day he’s worried ill get pregnant. Then another day he thinks having a baby would be “crazy right now” then when he talks about us having kids he says “down the road” then another day he’ll say, “well if you get pregnant then you get pregnant” 
I feel like he’s trying to confuse me.

I would wait until you are both 100% ready. If there is any question, I wouldn’t TTC yet.

Get on birth control. It doesn’t sound like he’s REALLY ready. The last thing you’d want is to get pregnant thinking he’s all for it and then he runs off scared because he goes through a “not right now” period. You both need to be ready. REALLY ready.

Agree with others. He’s not sure and you should wait longer. Check in with him again in 6 months and see where things are at. Maybe you need a conversation about what would make him feel ready. Is it financial, emotional, job related, housing?

I’d talk to hime about it. I was so ready and my husband wasn’t. Then one day after a family reunion he said he was ready. Then a few days later he said he wasn’t. I told him straight up that it was unfair for him to play games with my head like that when he knew how I felt. I compared it to telling him we were getting backstage passes to his fave group and then telling him later that I made it up. That put it in perspective for him. I was on BC and had this talk many times with my boyfriend. He would be there is it failed, no doubt about it. But if has a say (And he does unless the protection failed) he would rather wait. So we waited.
And I promise you, it'll be a much better experience if you're both ready for it.
My boyfriend is so rwdy to be a dad now I can hardly contain my excitement! 😊
