Would you be okay if your SO talked to their ex? 
I’m Currently in that situation as my boyfriend has talked to his ex of 2+ years multiple times through out our relationship and when we were going through some really hard times he talked to her for advice. He showed me some of their messages but has now deleted them all “just because”. Am I over reacting or is this something normal and okay to do?

No I wouldn’t like it. Ex’s are ex’s for a reason.

I don’t care if they’re friends with their ex’s but I would care that he’s discussing your problems to her when it’s not her business. And the fact that he only gets in contact with her when you’re going through issues is really concerning.

Um ew that’s weird he obviously deleted the messages for a reason, probably didn’t want you to see something. That isn’t normal (him deleting the messages) there was no need to delete the messages. But no I wouldn’t fw my bf talking to their ex🤷🏻‍♀️.

I think it depends. I mean if I dated a best friend and when we broke up, it ended well... I’d like to keep in touch with him as long as he’s not dropping hints or crap like that. But if it’s to a point where he’s trusting her more than me CONSTANTLY, I’d be bothered. Like if he trust her with small things once in a while I think its ok. But if he’s crying or idk going up to her I’d be bothered. It depends in the relationship you are in and the relationship they have.
