How did you tell your SO? Have you told friends or family yet?

I found out Thursday Dec 27th, by taking a HPT. I decided to tell my husband that same day by making a 7 clue scavenger hunt for him. I am currently looking for a creative way to tell my 10 year old son. I’m thinking a scavenger hunt for him too will be fun. Then after telling my son we will tell my parents & my in-laws... looking for a creative way for that as well. We will wait til the 2nd trimester to make it public to all extended friends & acquaintances.

I took a test yesterday, as my mother, brother, and sister were downstairs for our late Christmas celebration. Why did I do that? Idk, but curiosity was killing me and I found a test in the bathroom cupboard. Cut to me calling downstairs to my husband, "can you come here a minute?" 
I showed him the positive test, hugged, jumped up and down for a second, and we went back downstairs with my family... I lasted about 20 minutes but I can't keep a dang secret to save my life so my immediate family knows. 
Then my husband wanted to tell his parents and sibs too, so we made some calls later in the day. We prefaced everything with, "it's really too early to tell people, anything could happen but we got a positive pregnancy test today and we were too excited not to share!"

This is how I told my husband, he’s a gamer 🎮 after a missed miscarriage in July and a chemical last month, we’re waiting until the first ultrasound to tell family.

on xmas morning i walked over to him sleeping and whisper yelled “get up!” and then showed him the test in the bathroom.

I wrapped the test under the tree for my husband. I had to keep it to myself for 2 days!! It was so hard lol. We told our families Christmas Day but won’t announce to everyone until st Patrick’s day so we can do a themed announcement.

I asked my husband if he saw anything on the test. He said it was faint but he could kind of see something there.
This is our 4th pregnancy in 7 months so we are waiting on the bloodwork from Friday. I will be going in tomorrow to get more blood taken too.
I’ve shared the news with two friends cause they are supportive no matter what comes. Want to share with family, but holding back this time.
