When did you transition to the crib?

My little guy is 6 months old. I am still utilizing the bedside Halo because he wakes up a few times to nurse each night. His room is across the house. I use his crib for nap time, but I haven’t felt comfortable transitioning him at night yet. I’m just trying to get an idea of what other first time moms are doing (or plan to do!)

If you want to keep him in your room longer, put the crib in your room. That's what we did

We just did last week at six months. I felt really conflicted about it. He was probably ready earlier, but I wasn’t! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. It’s an emotionally loaded transition.

As soon as I got home from the hospital. I had a one bedroom apartment so his crib was right across from my bed. It worked out great I think.  When I moved to a 2 bedroom he was around 6 months old and he slept even better in his own room.

Our girl was in the bassinet for the first 2.5 months. It was already getting small for her so we built the crib in our bedroom for now.

Ever since my daughter was a newborn she’s slept alone. She was a Nicu baby so she slept in the cribs there then when she came home she had a feeding tube with nighttime feedings so she slept in her pack and play next to me. I honestly prefer pack and plays over cribs because they’re less bulky. 
If you’d like you could buy a pack and play and have it next to you until he’s bigger and you feel more comfortable letting him sleep in his crib

My little one has been in a crib since we brought her home from the hospital, (a few days after she was born). We’ve had no issues and the nurses are happy with our arrangement for sleeping

Our daughter slept in her pack n play in our room from 0-6 months and then we moved her to her own room from there. The AAP recommends keeping baby in your room for the first 6-12 months. We chose to move her at 6 months because she was starting to wake up to our movement and vice versa.

We moved my son to his own room when he was 7 weeks old. He was a noisy sleeper so I wasn't getting very much sleep. And every time my husband moved he would wake up. So it was beneficial for everyone.

My 2 daughters actually slept better in their own rooms than in mine. I transitioned them at 2 months and just used a monitor.
