I voted no because that’s my automatic answer. Once a cheater, always a cheater.. right?.. but I think they can stop but not overnight.. it takes a lot of effort! Like a lot. I think something big.. almost traumatic. Like a wake up call has to happen. It’ll take a whole lot of effort. I don’t think it’s possible for that relationship to ever go back to how it was. But if they both want they could make it into something new. Personally I say that relationship is dead and that person needs to self reflect, grow, and be better to the next. But it could work in the existing relationship. Just needs a lot of work.

Yes they can but is it likely?  Not without a lot of self help, and they can’t change if the person being cheated on doesn’t leave and show them that shit won’t be tolerated

Not everyone. But some people yes. Cheating is so much more than this black and white box people like to put it in. You’re not responsible to stick around while they work out their issues, but cheating can really make you realize how terrible and shitty you are and i don’t see how anyone wouldn’t want to change after that.

My father has cheated on every woman he has ever been with. At least in my lifetime. He has even cheated on his current wife (he was married once before). They have been together for 7 years, but my dad still flirts and has pictures on his phone of women he knows. My step mom told him if she ever caught him cheating she would cut his dick off. But I'm not sure if she will ever catch him. She didnt even really realize he cheated on her when they were dating right before they broke up. (She got back at that girl by having my dad cheat on that girl with her). Its just a whole mess. I know my dad cant change, but I dont know about anyone else.

I did. Mine was linked to child sexual abuse and mental illness. Went through intensive therapy and got on the right meds. It’s hard, but we worked through it. Now expecting our second child and been married 4.5 years.
