They tried inducing me at 41 Weeks and the epidural SAVED ME! At 5cm, they had kicked my meds up extremely high and the pain had gotten unbearable! After the epidural I felt so great that I took a VERY long nap! Ended up having a c-section, but I was so thankful for being able to sleep after not getting a break from contractions for about a half an hour

It was a life saver for me. I'm 18 and just gave birth to twins vaginally. The epidural was great because it numbed me from the waist down throughout my whole labor. I couldn't feel my contractions and had to push when they told me to push. Until the epidural wore off. Then it hurt so bad. But it definitely helped me through my labor and delivery while it was working.

The epidural definitely did help me. Not the most comfortable thing to get put in but definitely worth it. The first thing they gave me was staydol which just made me really loopy and I was crazy talking finally fell asleep after awhile and woke up crying in pain.. was trying to put off the epidural as long as possible because I was scared then finally gave in. They put it in and the feeling was really weird to be for awhile not being able to feel anything from the waist down I actually cried about it because it was just such a weird feeling. Just kept telling myself I was fine fell asleep again and woke up to a nurse telling me I have to push. It definitely helped out a lot I mean I was comfortable enough to sleep 😂

I think it depends.. I always say try to shoot for no meds/all natural birth but obviously everyone's pain tolerance and needs are different

Dont get it. You'll end up having back problems later on in life.
