Baby crib bumper? Help

First baby, not sure what to get. Obviously the breathable one is thicker. Experiences anyone?

Everything I’ve read has said it’s safer to do no bumper 🤷‍♀️

I know they sell bumpers as part of the bedding set, but they are not recommended. They’re not safe. It’s not just about the baby not being able to breathe if they get themselves shoved up against it, it’s also about the baby getting tangled or caught in the bumper (after they’re moving around), which can cause serious injury as well. 
I wish companies would stop selling baby products that are not safe for babies because people see these baby items and think they’re needed.

We started with nothing until baby was really rolling and moving. Then got breathable bumpers.

I don't know what "breathable" crib bumpers are, but this is what we have. Plan on using this again for the new baby in March!

If you search breathable bumpers on amazon there are som thicker microfiber kinds that are breathable with more padding than mesh.
