Miscarriage on Christmas Day

Found out I was pregnant on December 24th. Me and husband were so excited it was our Christmas gift. But then I had a high fever that night and began spotting on Christmas Day. I had bleeding for three days and the ER doctor confirmed I had lost it. Mother in law is making me feel like it wasn't a loss since i was so early. I would have been 6 weeks. I'm being made to feel like I'm not allowed to grieve for this loss.
