What counts as day 1

Hi Ladies,
This will be my first time taking clomid 50 mg. My doctor told me to take it on cycle days 3-7. I started spotting today. I believe it’s your first full bleeding day that counts as day one? Is that correct? Thanks!

Okay, but what happens if you have one day of like more than spotting but not a full period and then the second day it stops? I take my clomid days 5-9
