Okay so my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for over two years without luck. I would go month without periods and trick myself I was pregnant with negative after negative. I finally went to the obgyn and she diagnosed me with PCOS and put me on birth control and metformin. I have been taking both for over half a year and my husband and I both have told her that we want a child as soon as possible.

I recently emailed her about going a different route and trying different things. She replied with

“This is part of the process. It can be a long road. If you would like you can make an appointment and we can talk about all of your options. “

I am fully aware that it can take long but I also know there are medications that we can try but I am worried that she will just wave her hand and tell us that there is not much of anything we can do.

Is there someone who may know what to say to them or do I just listen to them?
