Baby ok in walker since I don’t have a jumper?

My mom bought us a walker for Christmas, we don’t have a jumper or anything like that for our almost 6 month old would it be okay to put baby in walker or will it affect her legs? My mother in law insists it’s going to cause leg deformities because she will try and pull herself? I’m a first time mom so I have no clue can you mommies please help me out? And let me know if it’s okay to put her in or not?

I used alllll the baby gadgets (walker, jumper, bumbo seat, you name it) but only in very limited time frames. I never left her sitting in there for long periods of time. She’s 10 months old and super close to walking.

Letting her be in the walker for 10-15 minutes a few times a day won’t cause issues. Just make sure baby can’t fall down any stairs!

She will be fine... don’t listen to her. Just put a pillow under baby’s feet since she doesn’t know to move

Baby walkers have been shown to delay development.

She will be just fine......it's not like you will leave her in there all day every day. My kids have all used them and have met their milestones on time or before.

Baby walkers can delay development and it can be very dangerous to make a baby mobile before they are developmentally ready to be. Those walkers are already banned in some countries and the AAP is trying to get them banned in the US.
