Breastfeeding toddler while pregnant
Hey ladies
I’m looking for support and advice but no judgment
I had always planned on breast feeding my son until he was at least two.
Well, my husband and I just found out we accidentally conceived (we are still thrilled)
Right now, my son breastfeeds for some naps and cosleeps at night
He’s a little over 17 months old now
I’ve decided that we will have to wean before baby comes. I want to produce colostrum for baby and not start baby off with full on milk.
However, I’m finding it very difficult to wean and I feel that it’s so harsh on him to take away something he’s always had with only a 7 month window.
My biggest struggle, is weaning him at night. Any moms weaned toddlers who were very reliant on night time boob? Any advice would be appreciated!
Also, I have considered tandem nursing and might allow my son to resume some night time feedings if he still wants it when baby comes but for now, I truly want to stop producing before my due date so my baby can have colostrum and milk designed specifically for him/her
Thanks!!
