I know this an old poll, but trans women aren’t the same because they chose to become women. Whereas, women are born into the struggles like unequal pay, period cramps, sexism and didn’t get to opt out of the natural transition period. Moreover the struggles that trans people face, though incredibly real and completely awful are not ones they are forced to face but rather ones that come as a part of a revealed identity. Identity, unfortunately is completely different to a biological, unaltered process in the womb regarding hormones.

I am not a women because I have a uterus- I’m a women because you fulfill the societal role of a women. And while it would be nice if there weren’t separate roles in society for men and women, there are and trans women just happen to fit more into the women category more than the men one
