How to explain pregnancy to a 2 year old?

I'm 23 weeks pregnant with my second son and my first is 2. He seems to understand pregnancy but not that I'm pregnant. (He'll point at pictures of pregnant ladys bellys and say "baby", but just doesn't acknowledge that I'm pregnant) I don't carry very big so I think thats part of it and its very hard to get anyone to feel the baby kick on time. I've read books to him and tried finding a good youtube video to show him. Anyone have advice for me?

My daughter was almost 3 when we found out I was pregnant with baby #2. She is one of the youngest in the family so she doesnt have a lot of experience with babies, although she loves them! When we told her mommy had a baby in her tummy, she got this really concerned look on her face and said 'Mommy are you okay? What happenend?' 😆
We have been talking with her every day, explaining that she will have a little baby in a couple months to love and take care of. We try to include her when shopping for baby and take her to the appointments. I think she's getting used to the idea cause shes been spending a lot more time playing with her own baby dolls and taking care of them. 
I dont think it's possible to fully prepare them for what's to come until baby arrives. I'm terrified my daughter won't accept the new baby and will feel unloved because of how much attention the baby will need.

So I had my second almost 2 months ago and my oldest was 20 months (1.5 yo) when I had my youngest.  He didn’t quite acknowledge my pregnancy until much later and mostly because I had a big belly which he loved to smack 🤦🏻‍♀️
 
It took a few weeks for him to realize the new baby was staying, hahaha.  But now he adores his little brother for the most part.

Same as you. My daughter just turned 2 and im also 23 weeks pregnant. Ive showed her my belly as i rub it and say baby. She doesnt fullly get it but she understands that there is a baby in there. Shes been to my ultrasounds and has seen her little brother moving around. We talk to her constantly about her baby brother coming and that mommy is having a baby soon. Some days she cares and others not at all lol.
