Friends but more?

So I've been friends with this guy for about 2 and a half ish years. Lately we've been talking about sleeping together and becomeing FWB. But I don't know if we should as I'm scared something will go wrong. 
Should I do it or not?

I've known my fwb for a year now. We started off as fwb and now we're getting closer as friends more so than just hanging out for sex (though we do that every time we see each other). It's really just dependent on your situation and if you're willing to take the risk to see if it's something that'll work for you

personally, i've never had a FWB work at all, so if it's something you want to do then definitely go for it if you won't like that person
