Has this happened with your baby?

Question

I had my baby girl yesterday (December 30th). Everything was fine until they started monitor her oxygen levels. They noticed that when she starts to calm down her oxygen levels would start to drop and they would have to give her oxygen to help her. Has this happened with anybody else? Heading to Savannah now to make sure she’s ok.

My son was preemie so had c pap to help him breathe better. They also gave him caffeine to help him to remember to breathe. They gave that to him for a few weeks. Sending positive vibes your baby. Congratulations such a cutie pie.

My sister's son had some breathing issues when he was born and spent a week in the NICU he is a happy healthy 9yr old now

My son did. I can’t remember exactly because my labor was so rough but he had air bubbles in his lungs. 
He was in the nicu for a little over a week and had him on oxygen to help. Thankfully his body just need some time to adjust.

Was she a c-section baby? My nephew was born on the 21st and had some issues clearing the fluid from his lungs after a section. He was just fine in a couple of days.

Not exactly the same situation but my first needed some extra oxygen for a day or so in the beginning just to help him along a little. He was fine after that and is now a very healthy 2 year old. Wishing the same for you!
