What do I need to take for the hospital? I keep holding off on packing mine. The thought of packing it becomes more overwhelming each day.

As someone who has came to l&d over prepared and totally under prepared I can totally give you some advice. Contact your hospital and see what they provide you. My hospital provides breastfeeding supplies, formula, diapers and wipes and a few of those white onesie shirt things that help with skin to skin. So you may get to leave all that stuff at home. Od really only pack outfits for baby. Maybe a comfy feeding pillow and things for YOU to be comfortable. DONT FORGET SNACKS!! Hospital food is not the best and the machines are expensive. But bring change for them just in case lol

Ask your doctor for suggestions based on what your hospital provides or do a hospital tour/see if you can find out what is provided v. what you need to pack. No reason to lug a bunch of stuff to the hospital that you don’t need! Mine provides everything we need for baby while we’re there, we just need an outfit and blanket for going home. For myself I’m packing chapstick, comfy shorts and nursing tanks for recovery time, a robe, an oversized tank top for labor (my hospital doesn’t require the wearing of a hospital gown), socks/slippers, toiletries and an outfit to wear home. For my husband just comfortable clothes, toiletries and a blanket.

Personally, I packed two or three outfits for baby (who knows just how long we’ll be there and he also could poop or puke on himself), two pairs of scratch mittens, socks, and a blanket my grandma knitted him.
For me, I packed two shirts, a pair of comfy pants, some adult diapers, and two very comfortable bras.
For my boyfriend, I packed a change of clothes.
Still need to pack chargers, snack stuff, toiletries, and a notebook and pens.
