Am I wrong?

My mom Blames my cousins boyfriend for her death. My cousin died in a car wreck going to pick up her boyfriend 5 years ago. My mom just said that she blames him for ruing my cousins life. I asked how he ruined it and she said “I never liked him and had your cousin not been picking him up then she’d still be alive” o told her that I don’t like him either but you can’t blame him for her death. My mom believes in gods and “gods will” so she should believe that it was my cousins time to go regardless. Even if my cousin had said no to picking him up that morning it was still her time to go do something else would’ve happened, correct?
