Well let me just say I’m so grateful to be here in the new year with my wonderful baby boy. Yesterday morning I was sick and ended having a doctors appointment, but my BP was so high. They checked it 4 times. The first time it was 140/93, then 128/92, and then 134/93. Then ended up sending me home and had my to return at 1 pm to check it again before deciding to induce me. When they checked it again it was 150/104 and it was over from there. I was induced and stayed 3cm for 10 hours, but luckily for me they gave me a epidural do to my BP being so high so I wouldn’t stroke out. So I really didn’t feel ANYTHING ! Well long story short around 12:30 they decided to prep me for a c section because my baby boy was distress and come to find out it was because his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck twice as long as him and legs. My baby boy was born at 2:30 am weighing 5 Ibs. 8 oz and 19 inches long. It was such a blessing and a bittersweet moment because my boyfriend/childs father passed away October 23rd in a car wreck so I was sad that he wasn’t there with me, but to have the support of his family and having my mother in law there to hold my hand along the way meant so much !
