PSA - OBGYN perspective.
Indent - the clear line that will be in ANY test. You should see this line before you even take the test if you look hard enough. If not then it may be there within the time frame and have no color.
Evap - evaporation line; this line shows up AFTER THE TEST HAS DRIED or when it is mostly dry. People say about 10 min because that is about when it dries. This line could actually have color or may be grey in color. IF YOU OPEN YOUR CASSETTE BEFORE THE 10 min TIME THEN THIS LINE MAY SHOW UP SOONER BECAUSE IT WILL DRY FASTER! These lines could also be thick or thin.
People say test in pink/purple dye rather than blue because blue looks very similar to grey and your evap/indent lines may be grey.
You’re not out til AF shows so don’t get discouraged. I’ve had patients that had a very faint line at 8DPO & some that had one at 14 days late!! So don’t give up!!
Good luck to anyone TTC!
