Whichever one you can look after properly. When adopting a senior dog though, just keep in mind your time will be limited. We adopted a senior dog exactly two years ago to the day. She was loving and awesome and we were so happy to have her. We unfortunately had to put her down after eight months because she had a stroke. I was devastated we never got her sooner but those eight months were spent with her loving me so unconditionally.

I personally would get a cat. They’re cheaper and less work in the long run. Plus I think they’re just better than dogs 🤷🏼‍♀️ but It’s completely your decision. But make sure whatever you choose you’re willing to spend time training it and willing to set aside the appropriate amount of money and time to care for it.
