Clogged ducts?

Hey ladies! I am breastfeeding six week old twin boys and last night they slept for 4 hrs for the first time, (normally at leadt one of them is up and eating every 2 to 3 ish hrs) Anyways i woke up leaking and really full. My left breast hurts really bad, I have pumped and fed both babies off the breast and it is still very painful. I have tried manually massaging and heat, is there any other way to unclog my blocked duct? TIA

I don’t know that it’s blocked yet- sounds like pretty bad engorgement though. Id try to keep manually expressing a bit, but don’t over do it or your body will think your babies need more food and will start producing more. Try massages and a little heat (such as standing in a hot shower and rubbing it), feed them while your breasts hang over them (so you on all fours over top of them) as gravity naturally helps pull any clogs you may have put, etc

Sometimes when we are engorged or have a clogged duct, the milk leaks out of the ducts into the surrounding tissue.  The milk is then trapped in the breast tissue and it will feel like a bruise. It will resolve itself with lymphatic drainage but it will take time, typically 1-2 days. Warm compresses and gentle massage will help clear it faster.
With a clogged duct, you will have a section of the breast that isn't draining and it will still feel firm, sometimes even a little lumpy if you have a lot of milk trapped in the duct. The best way to clear a clogged duct is in a warm shower, excising with your hands, trying to apply pressure from behind the blockage. Sometimes the blockage will be at a milk pore at the nipple. You still express from behind the blockage, but you can work directly on the bleb/blocked milk pore. You can either use a facewasher or a clean fingernail to try and loosen the bleb, until it is drawn out.  Sometimes if it starts to come out you can pull the end. Often you know when you've got it all at the trapped milk will start pouring out. It may take a bit of time, and it may come back over the next few days until it is fully resolved. Once you have the initial blockage cleared, have your baby breastfeed to help clear any residual milk in the ducts, which will hopefully prevent it reoccurring. 
If you get a fever and chills, and tog have flu like symptoms you have the beginning of an infection and it's best to see a doctor for antibiotics.

Do you have an electric toothbrush?? If so massage the area with it, it literally worked like a charm to break up an area for me when I had this happen. Good luck

Not to be weird, but have your partner suck it out of it is still clogged. Way better than an infection.

Or vibrator. I also would dangle feed, massage like crazy in a very hot shower and take sunflower lecithin regularly(of which works amazing to avoid).
