Preparing for baby while grieving?

Question

Who else is about to have a baby but is also grieving over a lost loved one or beloved pet? I’m having a hard time keeping my thoughts together. I just got my pets ashes back from cremation and I’m a total mess. I cannot function....it’s almost been a month..

I’m so sorry for your loss. My advice to you is to grieve as much as you can right now. I know you may worry about the negative effects on baby but it’s nothing compared to if you don’t grieve. You should feel upset and you should scream and cry. Loosing a loved anything is hard, especially during pregnancy. Take your time to reminisce the times you had with them and cherish them. If you are ever going through a really hard cry try to hold their favorite toy or go to their favorite spot. Animals are the greatest friends and loosing them is like loosing a child. I wish you the best and hope you get through this time with the least amount of stress.

I’m preparing for a baby but not grieving, but I do have a senior dog who is my WORLD and I have such anxiety about losing her so I can relate. The only advice I can give you is don’t let anyone make you feel silly about it or rush the grieving process. It will slowly get easier but time is the only thing that will help.

I’m honestly in this situation right now an I am struggling with life so bad an I have no one to turn to.. I’m early in pregnancy almost into my 2nd trimester.. but I lost my mom in June of 2018. Because of my hormones I am more emotional now and so it was easier for me to be stronger when it first happened an step up to the plate an be there for my family then it is now.. now I’m hurting cause I’m at a point where I feel like I really need my mom an I can’t reach her.. 😔
