My boyfriend called me boring.

Hey ladies! So this post may be a little long so bear with me if you can.

From the time I was 15 and 16 years old I drank non stop every weekend at parties with my friends. I made horrible decisions and thanks to some of them, I have HPV. My ex and I got together when I was 16 and I stopped drinking then until we broke up, then there was a couple weekends I went out but not like before. My current boyfriend and I got together when I was 17 (I’m 18 now, he’s 24). We’ve been together for a year. There have been a few weekend where we went out with friends and I did drink but only on occasion (birthdays, my friend coming home from the army, my graduation, etc.) and when I drank, I did get drunk. Now, when we go to parties (which is hardly ever) or even if we stay in and he brings something home, I just don’t have he taste for alcohol anymore. It’s just not good to me at all. Today he called me boring because I don’t drink anymore and it honestly hurt my feelings. What’s wrong with not drinking?? He knows why I stopped too. My dad is a raging alcoholic and ruined my family because of it and I don’t wanna be like him, plus all the other reasons. I’m just over it bc I had my experience with it already and I don’t like it. Has anyone else had this comment made to them? If so, what did you do/say?
