Can pumping make you skip a period?

I exclusively pump. From what I’ve heard, it doesn’t do the same as breastfeeding with holding off your periods. I’ve had several periods since my daughter was born and the last 2 started a little over a week early, now I’m late by 6 days. I tested on the 3rd late day and it was negative. Are they just out of whack from pumping? Or should I test again?

I exclusively pumped for 3 months and we are now back to breastfeeding and I have still not had a period. I am fairly certain its the hormones that come with lactating in general that delay the return of a period and make it wacky once its returned.

It’s pretty normal to have wacky cycles for a few months after you get your period back. It can take a couple months to regulate

Same! I tested at 9 days late and negative.
Basically from what I've read our cycles can fluctuate quite a bit and it's nothing to worry about.
