At what age do babies start having more of a schedule?

My little guy is 11 weeks old today. He usually naps about an hour after waking up for like at least an hour sometimes two. Then he will get up eat again and play. Sometimes he is up for a while and naps around 230 but other days he is tired and take a few cat naps before his 230 nap... He goes to bed early around 6/7 . I've tried to keep him up but he is just so cranky. Ideally I'd like him to go to bed around 8/9.. I want to keep him on a schedule but don't want to deprive him of any naps he may need right now..

I know soon it will be 2 day time naps.. but anyone know when that is?
