Dont know what to do
Ex boyfriend now who I had been with for a year & a month pushed me into the floor multiple times, on one occasion hit my head against an apartment wall, & almost suffocated me by putting his hand over my face in an alleyway on new years eve because he was mad that I danced with one of his friends that was a girl at a bar that we were at. I was 4 hrs away from any family or friends who could help me because I went to spend new years with him where he lives. I called my parents, my friend who is like my big sister & the cops but then regretted calling the cops & hung up but they found me while I was walking back to his apartment since he didnt give me my car keys. I told the cops I had lied about what happened because he has a 3 year old son who I love dearly & I know he needs his dad. Once I got to his apartment I waited outside for almost 4 hrs until I remembered we hadn't locked the doors. I turned the heater on full blast as soon as I got inside & layed right next to it until my friends got there which was about 20 to 30 min later. I grabbed most of my things & packed them in my friends car then we tried getting ahold of him so I can get my car back. He would hang up on all our phone calls until my sister sent him a picture saying they were in the apartment with me & he called right away to get my car & leave his apartment & we did. He left my car by the bar we had been hanging out at & I havent seen or heard from him since. Its been 2 days of full body pain & I dont know if I should go to the ER to get checked out cuz I know they'd have to make a report. My ex is an army vet who fought in the Afghanistan war & I know that he has had a rough past too. I know that there is no reason for any man to put his hands on a woman but I also want nothing more to do with him. I just want to get away & never see him again. I always saw stories like this but I never thought I'd be in this position & even less that he'd be the one to do it to me...
