Found out I had an STi at an appointment today

I just came from my GYN appointment and I was told today that I had chlamydia before and I was not aware about that until today. My doctor said it was a long time ago but I wanted to cry because I didn’t know I had a STi before. Can this mean that having children in the future will be more complicated in the future?
