Not sure if this is in the right category, so sorry in advance.

I firmly believe my father has bipolar II disorder. Ever since I was young, my dad would have these episodes of enrage or depression, and it got worse when he would get wildly drunk. He constantly cheated on my mom SO MUCH to where he now has genital herpes. He still continues his behavior where he sleeps around with prostitutes, and I am serious. He pays money for sex and he does it all the time. Even when my brother and I are over his house he will leave us and go.

Earlier he mentioned my mom AGAIN and I told him to just stop. They’ve been divorced for almost 2 years now and he always mentions her and today I told him to stop it and he went crazy on me. He said my mom needs to die in hell and he doesn’t give a “fuck about her.” And he told me I need to grow up??? Lol. Anyways, I’m studying behavioral psychology and I can’t find my DSM 5 book to correctly diagnose him. I know he has some sort of mental illness. I just want to know if any of you have dealt with someone similar, been in a situation, or know of someone who has this and what their symptoms are.

these episodes of him getting mad at me happen frequently. Not a one time thing. Been going on my whole life but got worse when they divorced. He drags me in the middle of it.
