Can anyone relate? Do you enjoy being a mom?
This may be unrelatable, but does anyone else find that alot of mothers have negative comments or discouraging things to say about being a mother? I'm not sure I can even explain it correctly but I find alot of mother's complain, at least that I talk to or on social media, about being mothers (which is totally in their right). However, it's almost like most of the people I talk too, don't seem to enjoy being mothers. And it's amped up even more since I've been pregnant and I'm finding it discouraging. I know motherhood will be hard, there will be so much change, sleep deprivation, lack of showers, the physical and emotional healing from birth and pregnancy etc etc and I know mothers are becoming more vocal and open about the challenges and struggles of being a mother which I think is great, but it would be nice if at the end of it, that some people would at least cap it off with saying it's all worth it, or even just hold their tongue until I give birth. I feel like all I hear is how "horrible" it's basically going to be. "Say goodbye to your life, the good days etc etc". Does anyone out there enjoy being a mother? I'm so excited to be a first time mom and I feel like others are just trying to take that joy from me. I feel like I have realistic expectations that it will be hard, but I also feel like it's going to be the best thing to ever happen to me and my husband.
