How long did it take to say I love you/fall in love??

my boyfriend and i said it before we were dating, we were having a conversation about when we think saying “i love you” was a good time. he asked me if he could start saying it (we had known each other for a little less than a year and we went to homecoming together) after we both agreed that we’d been wanting to say it for a long time...he asked me out. Since then we’ve never had any fights or any issues in the relationship

Falling in true, lasting love took a very long time for me. My husband is my brother's best friend so he's been ariund my whole life. We became really close when I was thirteen, but he didn't see me as anything but a really good friend until I was nineteen. I was headed off on a mission for my church when he told me he loved me. I think I knew I loved him for years before this, but couldn't admit it. It took me three more months for me to pull my head out of my butt and figure out I loved him back. I was sent home around this time on medical release and told him how I felt. Since he had already told me he loved me, the L word came straight away. Two years later we couldn't be happier.

I think I knew sooner, but said it around 4 months. Together for almost 8yrs now!
