Nipple changes?

So I’ve noticed my nipples are different. I have small nipples with small round areolas. They’re always pink or pinkish red. My areolas are dark now. They’re brown and very bumpy? And they seem slightly bigger. More too then so wider, larger diameter. They’re literally brown not pink or pinkish red. Which is my normal color. And I have little ones so you can see when they change. Is that normal to change before period? I’m now late, but feels like it’s coming. I know it’s never happened before but it seems an abnormal period this time and I didn’t know if that could be. Google said periods can do this. I also haven’t had the usual breast pain. Yes sore but I haven’t had a problem wearing a bra. Days ago one day was really bad but not much since. I know when your period comes it eases up and disappears. What is happening? Is this normal for a period? All tests are negative
