With my last EBF baby I was worried every dr appointment that they would tell me to stop nursing because she was so skinny. They told me to stop worrying she had enough wet diapers. This time I had a preemie, 6 weeks early, started out on the tube, then bottles with nursing once a day in the nicu. Then they started adding neosure to my milk then sent me home where we added nursing sessions with the bottles and topped off with a bottle after nursing then I took away the nipple shield and he stopped drinking the top off! Two weeks after coming home from the hospital he was EBF, no bottles! We’ve been going strong and he’s growing like crazy. At birth he was 4lbs 7oz. At his 1 month appointment he was 5lbs 14 oz. At his 2 month appointment today he was 8lbs 9.5oz....magic boobies! He’s excelling on the boob, doctor was floored with an almost 3lb gain in a month!
