I wanted an epidural but don’t know if I’ll be able to have one due to low platelets. Doctor will re-test my numbers closer to delivery time.

What have your numbers been. I've had low platelets with all 3 pregnancies and I've managed to have my numbers up for epidural. Thank god lol. Even if I didn't go in planning to have one I would love the option.

Ok I’ve never heard of this, if you have low platelets you can’t get an epidural?  Mine are low....126,000. Getting them checked again tomorrow 😫

I'd love an epidural but my labours are too quick. My first and longest labour was 3hrs from first contraction. Even my second which was induced was only 2.5hrs. This baby is going to fly out 😬

I have a medically diagnosed phobia of needles so I’m hoping for natural. The idea of an epidural sounds great but I think the panic attack that would occur over rides the benefits.

I’m going for natural, mainly because I’m trying for a vba2c and don’t want something to happen that will cause me to have another c section.

With my 1st i had demerol because i was induced with pitocin and pitocin contractions are hell but after a while it just made me sleepy in between contractions and I felt all the pain,  I think it made it worse.     Second was all natural and im hoping this one is all natural also

I’ve never had an epidural and i know I won’t have one this time either.

I have the same issue due to ITP. Mine are at 62000. They said there are a lot of other pain management things they can give.
