Do you wear your engagement ring above your wedding band or under it?

I’ve always worn my engagement ring above my wedding band. But I have a friend who wears her engagement ring under hers. I’ve never asked her about it because it doesn’t bother me or anything like that lol but I wanted to know how everyone else wears theirs

When putting on rings, you should put your wedding ring on first so that it’s closest to your heart. That’s what I was told. So I guess the engagement ring would go on top of the wedding ring by that standard? If I’m thinking right.
