Emergency equipment

Hello, me and my husband, our 2 years old and our dog are moving to an area prone to hurricanes. I'm wondering what things you need to have at home in case you for some reason would have to stay. It can take up to two weeks to get help so it's recommended you have supplies for that. Thanks.
