When I gave birth my Dr noticed something on my labia and wanted it surgically removed. Since she was already stitching me up, she cut the extra skin off my labia. When she took it in for testing she came back and told me they were pre-cancer cells. She sent me to an oncologist and they checked me and said they are going to monitor and then told me to come back in 6 months. Well it’s 6 months now and my appointment is approaching and I will be on my period. I’m wondering if I should go in knowing they’re going to check my vagina while on my period or if I should cancel? I don’t want to make them mad about canceling if they don’t care about it but I’m not sure what to do. Would you go in or reschedule? It was already kind of hard to get an appointment.
