Yes!!! I’m a massage therapist and it’s the #1 issue I see. We do things subconsciously when we’re stressed or anxious. I tend to clench my teeth and don’t notice it till my jaw hurts. Most ppl bring their shoulders up closer to their heads. It compacts all those muscles and after a while you’ve trained them to stay that way. Which is not how they are designed to be.

Stress and anxiety can be horrible for causing pains like that, I'm not a doctor or anything so I don't know the ins and outs but I do know when I'm under stress mentally it puts my body under stress. Chest pains, headaches, problems sleeping, spots/breakouts, joint aches (almost like the aches I get when I have the flu), and like this post mentions tension around my shoulders/necks. Emotions are strong, our minds are powerful things, when I've felt so low and in a bad state of anxiety/depression a virus or flu like illness always seems to follow. Again I don't know I'm not a professional or scientist
