How long do you hold the stick in the pee does it matter?

Just wanna check with you ladies.
I’ve had 2 different sets of first response tests the first lot said you had to hold the stick on urine for 20 seconds and then not realised the second set was different I held that set in for 20 seconds also when it should of been 5 🙈 how much difference does holding the stick in pee longer make?

I always followed the instructions. I would say, yes, it probably makes a difference. The ones that require las time have smaller sticks, which if you use too much urine it makes a mess of the test. Always read and follow instructions (even though instructions seem pretty obvious and self explanatory).

I never tested that way. I always just peed in a cup and dipped the test in it for many reasons... one being accuracy. Too much or too little urine may affect the results.

I was told that if you pee directly on it then 5 seconds but if you pee in a cup and then dip the stick it should be 20 seconds. Idrk lol
