My mother had a preterm baby and she believes it was caused by stress from verbal and physical abuse.

I was in perfect health with virtually none of the unpleasant pregnancy side effects (no heartburn, no haemarroids, no braxton hicks or stretch marks and no nausea). There was no history of pre-term labour in the family (both my sisters were induced and overdue with their kids). I had literally just started my 1st day of Maternity leave and was looking forward to all my time off to finish nesting and relaxing but it never happened. Babies sometimes just come when they want.
