No growth ultrasound?

I see a lot of posts saying they had growth ultrasounds... anyone not having a growth scan? Makes me nervous that I don’t know for sure that baby is still growing properly.

I am 34+4 and haven’t had an ultrasound since 20 weeks. I think if all is healthy they don’t intervene.

I have had them because I have gestational diabetes and blood pressure issues. Once you reach about 28 weeks and they start measuring your stomach as long as that comes back good there is no need for a growth scan unless you have other issues like me.

Depends on the practice but usually you only get one if your fundal height is measuring off one way or the other.

I haven’t had one and likely won’t as I’ve been measuring on track according to fundal height. Growth scans aren’t generally done in a routine healthy pregnancy.

I didn’t have one with my first pregnancy. Had one with my second as he was “measuring small” (born 9lb4oz!) and booked for one this pregnancy because my tummy is measuring two weeks ahead. 
They definitely aren’t necessary and although it’s nice to see the baby again, I would prefer to not have to do it. 
Are you in an area where you can get private “4D” ultrasounds? Some people book those to get a sneak peek at baby’s features.

Just had mine, at 34+3. I switched OBs at 20 week and I do t think my prior OB would have done it i think it depends on your doctor.

It's pretty normal not to have any more ultrasounds after 20 weeks. My OB only does one if there are complications or you go past 40 weeks

It varies by doctor and by practice and in some cases insurance.if your worried check with your insurance make sure it’s cover then request one with your dr.. most drs will honor he request

This is my 3rd baby, I've never had an ultrasound past the 20 week anatomy scan unless I paid for a 3d one.
My understanding was doctors only do additional ultrasounds d if you are having multiples or are high risk.

I don’t think you need to get them unless there’s a concern. I had them because they couldn’t see my bandies nasal bone. Once they found it, they stopped scheduling them.
