Am I just chicken shit over this?

I had an epidural with my first son and had nothing with my second because I pushed myself so far that I wasn't able to get one in time and with this one I would like to be able to relax as much as possible and not have to go through what I went through with my second but would that just make me weak to get an epidural this time around? Has anyone done this?

Getting an epidural, whether it's your 1st or tenth birth doesn't make you weak. It's so weird that anyone thinks it's weak to have pain relief during the most painful thing most people will ever experience but no one bats an eye when someone gets pain relief for a surgery, toothache or broken bone. Childbirth hurts.

An epidural is a personal choice. It doesn’t mean you’re weak to get one the same way it doesn’t mean people who don’t get one are tough. 
Get it if you want it 🤷🏻‍♀️ modern medical advances exist for a reason.

Labor is exhausting and it's almost impossible to get enough rest while in the hospital. I'm pregnant with my third and will most likely get the epidural again. I could go without, but I want to rest as much as I can before I'm awake for over 24 hours.

I don’t know what to do myself, I had an epidural with my first and wanted to try without this time but don’t know if I can handle it ☹️ I was physically exhausted with my first (literally falling asleep between contractions) it wasn’t nice at all, I guess it’ll depend on how I feel when I go into labour again 😬 whether Iv had enough sleep before hand too 😂😅

Well it really doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks so don’t worry about it. If you want an epidural just get one.

I am same way, i am on baby number 5 with the first 3 I had epidurals and 4th one didn’t and I regretted it!! I am prego with baby number 5 and I will be getting epidural. I can enjoy it so much better!
