When did you introduce a bottle?

Breastfeeding mamas, how soon did you introduce a bottle to your little one?

Cant remember exactly when but somewhere between 2 and 4 weeks. She took it great, no problem switching between bottles and breast. But then after 2 months we slacked and forgot to give bottles. Went to start them again around 4 months when i was getting ready to go back to work and she refused every bottle we tried (ones she previously accepted no problem) until finally we found one she took. So my advice is to make sure your consistent so your baby continues to take the bottle.

My left nipple was HORRIBLY cracked and bleeding due to a bad latch when my son was about a week old. So to let it heal I pumped from that side and gave him bottles of the milk I pumped. Once it healed we went back to being straight from the breast only

I breastfed 3 outta 4 of my kiddos and i have learned if you wait to long they won't take a bottle at all. I made that mistake every time so i wasnt able to leave my lo at all, well at least until they mastered a sippy cup and even then i pretty much had to be right there. My 4th breastfed until 20 months and prob only weaned because my milk supply dropped when i got pregnant with #5 (currently 27 weeks). I really think I'm going to formula feed this one lol. Just for my sanity lol. My youngest will just turn 2 less than 2 weeks before my due date and my other kids are 9, 12, and 15.

I was told today that you should wait at least 4 weeks to introduce both bottle and pacifier while breastfeeding.

I breastfed both my sons but introduced the little Medela breastfeeding bottles after a couple weeks so my husband could feed them some breast milk, too. 
He really enjoyed feeding them and neither of my kids had trouble going between the bottle and breast because they always much preferred the real boob!! 😂
