Are period more painful after baby?

I have a five month old and had 3 periods. One was light, second was heavy it nothing was painful. This one I had spotting yesterday but nothing but agonizing pain that is about to make sick. I’m due for my period, I’m just wondering if it’s normal. I haven’t felt this much pain, except when I was pregnant next time around. I took a test two days ago, it’s a negative.

It all depends on the person. Pregancy and post partum bring waves of hormones that change your body and it's chemistry. For my mother, she had 4 kids. After her first it was light. After her second heavy, third light, fourth heavy. So far I have had 1 baby and I am 8 months pp, I have a period every other month as I am breastfeeding and it's basically only spotting so super light and only 2 or 3 days long.
