Super soft and low cervix, 6 weeks pregnant

I was putting progesterone in last night, and I noticed that I couldn't put it in very far, and then realized that my cervix is really low and soft. It's never happened before, but I called my doctor's office and they haven't called back. Our first pregnancy ultrasound is this Wednesday. Should I go to the doctor before then? Thank you!!
