Am I going to have a big baby? 🤔

I had a growth scan today and I'm at 32+1. Baby was measuring fine they said and all was good. However my midwife told me that he was weighing at 4lbs 3oz and she said this was normal but this seems a little big to me. 
If he's at 4lbs already, how big will he get by 40 weeks?! 😫 how much do they gain weekly from now on? Am I going to have an enormous baby?

My girl was measuring 4lbs 12 oz at 34 weeks. Just remember that ultrasounds can be 2 lbs off in either direction. I'm 37 weeks right now and she's measuring 6lbs 5oz.
To be fair, by measurments shes measuring close to 2 weeks behind, so I think you're on track

My girl measured 4lb 3oz at 32 weeks exactly and 6lb 9oz at 36.4, and she’s only considered slightly above average! I wouldn’t worry :)

My little guy measure at that weight at my 32 week growth scan. My dr told me he’s projecting that baby will be around 7 lbs 5 oz at birth give or take. I thought that was a bit big to but it’s completely normal.

They are just making a guess when they tell you the weight. They thought I was going to have a 9 lb baby and he ended up being 7. They thought my sister was going to have a 5 lb baby and she had a 7 also!

Mine was 4.4 yesterday at 32+3 it was literally on track with my due date. So ur midwife is right.

This little girl was 3lbs3oz at 28 weeks they gain about a half pound a week give or take , my guess is my next ultrasound around 34 weeks she will be 5lbs ....

It’s normal. I’ve heard that baby can put on a half pound a week at the end but that puts ur baby at a little over 8 lbs at birth which isn’t huge. It’s average. Plus there weights are just estimates. All my baby’s weighted less then the ultrasound said.

There’s always a margin of error with this too. If your doctor isn’t too concerned, I’d try not to be too. Did they schedule a growth sonogram around 36 weeks?
