I usually praise my vagina for having basically no scent. I’m 18 and honestly it has never been odious unless I don’t bathe for really long but naturally my discharge on a regular day almost smells like water.

Recently my bf and I started having more sex than usual and I noticed that right before my last period my vagina started smelling very strongly and kinda fishy. Not necessarily a terrible scent but very distinct to what I’m accustomed to.

My period is now over and altho the scent is not as strong as before it is still a lot more odious and distinct as it used to be.

I take such good care of my body and hygiene so I’m really confused about this.

I’ve been monitoring my symptoms and there’s been no other unusual sign - no no itching or swelling or weird textured discharge. Just a slightly fishy smell which I feel conscious about.

Not sure if only I can smell it since I monitor my body so much or if it’s noticeable to my bf as well.

Is this totally unusual or cld it just be from the increased sex and physical maturing ?
