Has anyone named their baby after they were born and then later regretted the name? Did you change it later? Just curious.

We had 2 names picked for my son and once he was born my husband picked one. I wanted the other more but just went with it. 10 years later I’m glad we went with my husband’s choice!!

I regretted the spelling of her name but not the name itself. Quinnly, if I would've made it Quinnley maybe people would spell it right but that's my bad.

We narrowed I down to 2 names but the middle was the same. I love one and my husband liked the other which I was on the fence but growing to like. We decided right after she was born to go with my choice (he looked at me and said I don’t know what do you think? Meanwhile the nurse is breathing down our necks looking for a name and I know my parents are waiting outside) Lesson: wait until the happy hormones fade and test each name equally! Don’t succumb to pressure to decide quickly! I love my baby’s name but it is quite unique and I never thought people would have so much trouble with it. Sometimes I wish I had given her the other more common name. It’s such a huge and important decision! Take your time with it!

Not for me. I was hesitant about what other people would think of our son's name since it is uncommon. I love it even more now than when we chose it at birth! 
I did know a girl who waited a MONTH and a half to name her baby though. And I also heard of someone who hanged her baby's name after like 6 months because nobody could remember it

We thought for a very long time what we wanted to name him. We decided with a name that not only was apart of my family, but my partners as well. It’s very meaningful to us. He does have a few nicknames, but we always can be rest assured his name is something were proud of.
