Sorry ladies if this is tmi but I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant and went to the doctors as thought I had an infection down below. Turns out I have BV, the doctor prescribed metronidazole gel Rozex as can’t take tablets with being pregnant. Anyhow she said to use twice a day morning and night so I was just about to use before bed and read the instructions. It says for external use only and for the face as it’s for rosacea. I’m confused and don’t dare use it. I can’t contact my doctor until Monday and would really like to start using it before then. Has any of you been prescribed this type of methotrexate for the same infection or have I been given the wrong gel.
